This is a one day course for IT professionals interesting in crafting and implementing an Incident Response Plan (IRP) across their enterprise. The course covers the requirements, roles, responsibilities, processes, and procedures needed to provide a robust, rapid and reliable incident response capability. It covers potential issues that may arise between management, public relations, and legal council and how the potential disclosure of sensitive information may be prevented. The participants will also learn how to test and validate their IRP to ensure that it is functional at all times. Participants will learn how to deal with law enforcement officials, when to call them, and when to engage forensic procedures. Attendees will participate in a mock incident that will illustrate how the relevant components of an IRP work together.
Who Should Attend
If you are responsible for any portion of an IRP, or may be asked to respond to an incident in the future, you will benefit from this course. Since many business and technical disciplines are required to work together during an incident, this class is open to technical, administrative, finance, and legal at the level of manager and above.
