Mark S. Kadrich
President & CEO
Mark Kadrich is the CEO and Chief Evangelist at The Security Consortium. For the past 20 years, he has worked in the security community, building knowledge, and contributing solutions. His strengths are in systems level design, policy generation, end point security, and risk management.
Mark Kadrich is a CISSP, holds a BS Management Information Systems, University of Phoenix and degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, Memphis, 1979. He is a contributing author in publications such as TCP Unleashed (Sams ISBN-13: 978-0672316906), ISSA Journal, Publish Magazine, Planet IT, RSA, CSI, and The Black Hat Briefings. His own book End Point Security (ISBN 0-321-43695-4 Addison Wesley) was published in 2007. Currently the President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of ISSA, Mr. Kadrich is a well-known speaker and evangelist on network security matters at technical conference and events.
Andy Cottrell
Chief Scientist & Chief Operating Officer
Andy Cottrell is the Chief Scientist & Chief Operating Officer at The Security Consortium with over 21 years of experience in development, management and product strategy. He has participated in the efforts of several industry standards groups including the Trusted Computing Group.
As the CTO at TriCipher, a vendor of strong authentication credentials and the systems that use them, Andy Cottrell led product development and worked with large financial services, healthcare and pharmaceutical companies working on access security, identity management and digital signing projects. At Phoenix Technologies, where he was Senior Director for Security Products, he was responsible for all security products and infrastructure, defining the architecture and leading the development efforts.
Before joining Phoenix Technologies, Mr. Cottrell was the Head of the Engineering Department at Uxbridge College, England. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Birmingham University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Engineering from City University (London), both in the UK.
Emmanuel Thioux
Chief Technology Officer
Emmanuel Thioux serves as The Security Consortium's Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Thioux was in tech support and development for the Borland Software Corporation in the early 1990s. He then took a position at Pointcast in 1996 as a Senior Software Engineer. In 1998, Mr. Thioux joined Sygate as their Software Architect: he designed the Sygate Management Server (SMS), which Compaq used to deploy up to 200,000 Sygate agents. After version 3.5, Mr. Thioux designed and coded the Sygate On-Demand Agent (SODA). Both the SMS and SODA efforts required Mr. Thioux to lead a talented team of developers from beginning requirements to final fielded product.
After the Symantec acquisition of Sygate, Mr. Thioux went to work for GreenBorder as a principal engineer, where he was tasked with a complete redesign of their management server. After the Google acquisition of GreenBorder he brought his skill and talent to TSC.
Sarah A. Lynn
Chief Security Officer
Sarah A. Lynn is the Chief Security Officer at The Security Consortium and for the past 25 years, a professional with executive and senior management experience in security, compliance, risk management, disaster recovery, business continuity, loss prevention, audit, technology, business strategy, product management and professional services operations. She has been certified in numerous technologies and processes, including CISSP, GIAC – GSEC, PCI-QSA, and Six-Sigma. Ms Lynn holds an MBA with a specialization in Risk Management from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).
Prior to The Security Consortium, Sarah Lynn held several entrepreneurial, C-level and executive roles in a number of corporations and organizations. She is the founder of ADHERE, Inc. and Acting CIO Director of Security of the San Francisco Jewish Community Federation. She is a former CIO/CSO of WebEX Communications and has held Senior Management roles at Digital Island, Lucent Technologies, Cisco Systems, IBM and Jack Eckerd Corporation. Ms Lynn is the owner of two technology patents.
Steve Robertson
Chief Financial Officer
Steve Robertson is the Chief Financial Officer at The Security Consortium and has more than 16 years of leadership experience in finance and operations with both fast growing start-ups and established technology companies. He has served as Corporate Controller and other director-level roles for several successful venture-funded technology companies (including Proofpoint Inc. and Counterpane Internet Security) as well as publicly traded companies (Echelon Corp, SGI, HMT Technology, RockShox, Inc.).
Mr. Robertson serves on Board Of Directors for two non-profit organizations serving the youth in the Santa Clara County. Mr. Robertson earned his CPA while at Ernst & Young in San Jose. Mr. Robertson holds a BS from Santa Clara University.
